An update on Android 2.2 for X10 family

Sony Ericsson has declared in the Android Fanblog community that no update on Android 2.2 (Froyo) or higher on the X10 family with Xperia X10, Xperia X10 Mini, and Xperia X10 Mini Pro. Although there will be other future improvements for these devices such as a multi-touch update to the X10 in the first quarter of 2011, the Android version 2.1 (Eclair) will remain, however.

If the vendor actually performs any other version upgrades more, would escape the owner of the phones on unofficial firmwares from private developers if they want to use the new features in later versions. But this is only recommended for professionals and avoid in such cases, usually the manufacturer's warranty.
